Kids Yoga

Yoga is a wonderful form of exercise for children and the emphasis is on fun!  Playing games and using the imagination allows traditional yoga postures to really come to life - a make-believe visit to the Zoo, or the countryside introduces children to classical poses such as the Eagle, Cow, Cat, Fish, Lion, Dog, Cobra, the Tree, and Mountain.  Games like musical statues become Yoga Musical Statues, and What time is it Mr Wolf becomes Which animal am I Mrs Yogini?!

Children develop confidence and concentration as they master the balancing postures, develop strength in challenging Warrior poses and the sun salutations, and after lots of running around, calmness and quiet in the final relaxation and breathing exercises!

Sarah teaches kids yoga sessions at Sport Academies, Brighton College, during school holidays, ages 3-13 year old's.

"The children love it! It is a great opportunity for children to receive expert tuition in yoga and breathing in a fun and calm environment.  Sarah makes all lessons age specific, and we love having her as part of the team.”  Paul Clarke, Director, Sport Academies Ltd. Find out more at www.sportacademies.com.
